Microsoft 365 pricing and subscription changes - March 2022

Price Increase

Microsoft have increased pricing for many Microsoft and Office 365 subscriptions worldwide.

The pricing released here in Australia shows increases between 10% and 15% across most of the product range used by our clients.

The new pricing was not published in time for us to apply to the invoices we sent out at the beginning of this month. Variance invoices will be sent out over coming days to reflect the difference for March.

Subscription invoices from 1st April will reflect the new monthly pricing. These will be delayed by up to a week to accommodate the back end changes required.

This is the first real price increase in a few years and many key features have been implemented or significantly enhanced in that time, most notably Teams and Virtual Desktops. Teams became a critical tool for many businesses during the pandemic to communicate with staff and clients.

The Microsoft 365 suite is full of other productivity and management tools waiting for you to embrace. A combination of Teams, Virtual Desktops and a few other components may allow you to retire any local servers completely.

In order to ensure your business can benefit from the features and provide a better return on the investment, contact us to discuss what we can do for you.

Subscription Changes

The other change Microsoft have implemented this month is to re-establish incentives for annual Microsoft 365 licenses.

For the past 5 years we have been able to provide you with flexible, commitment free, month to month Microsoft 365 subscriptions for the same price as an annual commitment.

Microsoft have now changed this so that month to month pricing will attract a 20% price premium.

This change wont impact your existing subscriptions until your annual renewal date.

This date is different for each client and when your renewal date arrives the full price rise will be reflected in your invoice.

Our default billing method for any new subscriptions will be month to month.
